Good morning y'all, it's a new week! I hope everyone had a great week last week. Of course we ended up getting more snow and there will probably be more in our future....that's Colorado weather though 🤦♀️❄🌨 Also has anyone else's allergies been going haywire?? Mine have been off the charts crazy compared to the past few years and I'm so over it 🤧
Y'all, I don't about you but I need the craft stores to open back up. I'm having withdrawals 🤣 I'm doing a lot of work for the blog, for special occasions coming up and for my other business, It Works, but the craft business has taken a backseat and that makes me sad. I'm doing what I can though by getting some practice in and working on some designs and mock ups 👩💻
I know that I want to practice card marking and I just got another knitting loom for scarves so I can't wait to try it out! I'm always starting new projects or trying new things so if you have any idea's for me please leave a comment or send me a message!
I've also been doing a lot of reading 📚 check out the pictures of the ones I finished this past month.
I absolutely love this series y'all! It's got humor, suspense and a little romance! Honestly, if I start talking about this series I would just tell you everything that has happened so far 😂 I don't want to do that though so give this series a read, I think you'll love it if you like a strong female lead. I'm reading the sixth book in the series now.
Lipstick and Lies is the second book in that series. It's about Jenna, who was a stylist in LA but when her boyfriend dumped her, moved back home to a small town to help her mother. In the first book she is under suspicion of murder and in the second her neighbor is. Of course she gets involved, with the best intentions but you'll have to read the series to find out what happens. Humor, mystery, romance and small town life make this an enjoyable book! I can't wait for the third book in this series!
Hex On The Beach was definitely a good surprise read! This novel is a humorous, cozy mystery with magic, witches, wizards, shapshifters and more. I ended up really loving it and I'm reading the second one now. Definitely give it a try!
I also started reading the Lacey Luzzi Mafia Mysteries by Gina LaManna again. This is the series that introduced me to her and its definitely one of my favorites!
I also finished the third book in the Miss Fortune Mystery series. In this series, CIA assassin Fortune Redding is sent undercover in Sinful, Louisiana while there is a bounty on her head. You would think she would stay out of trouble but it seems to always find her and the citizens of Sinful are not all what they seem. You definitely need to give this series a try!
On top of doing all that reading, crafting and sewing I've found the time to do some baking and get back into my yoga/meditation routine. I always feel off when I don't do it and consistency is the key to getting results. It helps me to feel centered and balanced throughout the day which is a necessity.
I saw this on pinterest and just had to share it. Even during all this craziness going on you need to remember your not perfect and no one should expect you to be. Remember to love yourself and be gentle and know you are doing the best you can. Just breathe and know you've got this and anything else life throws at you.
It's taken me years of dealing with chronic pain to realize this and how much I needed to put myself first. Self care/self love is so important, weather you have chronic pain or not. Weather it's a face mask, manicure 💅, soak in the tube with a glass of wine 🍷watching your favorite reality tv show 🙋♀️ or reading a book 📚 Even if it's only a few minutes you have to do something for yourself, take those few minutes to take care of you 💜
Thanks for reading and please share! Now go and be creative friends! Enjoy the beginning of a new week!
I absolutely love this blog! Full of info, self help, encouragement, book reviews etc! 🌺
